Fur or Freedom? Beyonce, Jay-Z Wear Slain Furbearers to Inauguration

While President Barack Obama on Monday called for a renewed commitment to the guarantee of equality and freedom for all citizens, at least a few of his guests suggested to those watching the inauguration ceremony that such security need not extend to species other than our own.

For its reportage (a generous use of the word, if ever there was one), a shamelessly lowbrow website called treated readers (another stretch, I think it’s fair to say) to the boorish headline “Beyonce And Jay-Z Go Glamorous In Luxe Fur Coats For President Obama’s Inauguration.”

Photographs show the insensitive celebrities adorned in the body parts of slain furbearers — the uniform of the drooling class.

In his second inaugural address, President Obama told those gathered at the Capitol in Washington, D.C., and those watching and listening at home and at work: “We, the people, declare today that the most evident of truths – that all of us are created equal – is the star that guides us still; just as it guided our forebears through Seneca Falls, and Selma, and Stonewall; just as it guided all those men and women, sung and unsung, who left footprints along this great Mall, to hear a preacher say that we cannot walk alone; to hear a King proclaim that our individual freedom is inextricably bound to the freedom of every soul on Earth.”

Clearly, “every soul on Earth” means different things to different people. To the drooling class, it means every human.

The photographs published at depict nothing less than a callous celebration of supremacy, even as the president (and the occasion) called for a renewed commitment to high-mindedness.

It is a profound entitlement that an individual must feel to simultaneously celebrate supremacy and the promise of equality. Indeed, it is the height of arrogance to support the ongoing fight against the injustices men perpetrate against one another while proudly wearing one’s complicity in the brutal enslavement, exploitation, torture, and murder of other species.

It’s breaks my heart. It is also astonishing how stupid, empty headed, non compassionate and entitled some people are. The scary thing is those people are put on the pedestals by us, the grey mass! Which means that we, as a human race, lack compassion and wisdom. It needs another species to replace us on the top of the food chain, for us to wake up to compassion for those bellow us. Just through experiencing, once can truly understand. So sad! Cruel! Disgusting!

Are they aware of the horror of Fur Farms?! Animals are in cramp cages engaging in self-mutilation because they are miserable. Then they are often skinned alive. The more fortunate ones die before being skinned. Murder methods include oral & anal electrocution, breaking necks, & beating them to death. I like to think no one would want to wear something made of suffering & torture?!!

Until these wealthy and famous people learn to choose compassion, the demand for fur will continue, as the garments of the prestigious, and trend setting rich! People, (usually low self worth individuals), will try to emulate these “larger than life” so called “beautiful people!” Unfortunately, too many of these attention starved phonies, are SO out of touch with the reality of the suffering they cause, they can not be bothered with the gruesome details! I think it all has to start with Hollywood first! The more these stars appear in fur, the more the demand escalates! They’re BEGGING for Flour bombs and red paint for a real reality check! haha
